A Welcome from the Executive Leader and Chair of the Trust Board
Welcome from Executive Leader, Mr D Mackenzie
I am proud to be the Executive Leader of the Peninsula Multi Academy Trust and to have the opportunity to develop a high performing Trust that delivers the very best education and wider opportunities for students. The information on this website will give you a feel for the nature of the Trust, its values and how it hopes to influence the quality of education received by young people. The Trust is only small but there is a clear focus on strengthening leadership, governance, teaching and learning, and care, guidance and support. The Trust’s work is driven by a desire to ensure collaboration and partnership working, allowing schools within the Trust to learn from one another and grow together, raising standards and improving life chances for our students. We have an experienced and ambitious Trust Board that will provide the support and challenges required to ensure that the Peninsula Multi Academy Trust meets its objectives.
My role within the Trust is to develop the organisation and provide the opportunity for additional partners to join us, and to ensure that all the academies are successful and are working to improve outcomes for our young people. This is an exciting project and one which I hope can be achieved through building a strong and supportive network of schools.
Welcome from Chair of Peninsula Multi Academy Trust Board, Mrs J Owens MBE
I am delighted to Chair the Peninsula Multi Academy Trust.
I am pleased to lead a group of carefully chosen, experienced colleagues as Trustees who are invested in ensuring the very best for every child who attends a school in the ‘Peninsula family’. Our Trustees offer a wide range of skills, competencies and experiences from a range of sectors, and within the Board there are high aspirations for the success of all our young people.
Trustees are guided by the Trust’s values and driven to secure educational excellence and opportunity at primary and secondary level, ensuring young people are well prepared for their next steps and for life beyond school. We are committed to the belief that learning does not just take place in the classroom – providing breadth and depth to the learning experience and promoting a wide range of enrichment opportunities are essential to equipping our students for life in modern Britain. We believe that leaders who collaborate will achieve greater success and more effective solutions to the challenges they face, and we are firmly committed to supporting the communities we serve.
The Trust Board is ambitious to build a strong family of schools, creating structures to share best practice, learn from one another and become better at what we do. The Board is supportive and will give school leaders the space they need to make decisions which are in the best interests of their school and its community. We will not, though, settle for second best and will provide the necessary challenge and support to ensure high quality education is delivered across the Trust.
